washi wall scrolls are here!

i am so excited to share with you my newest line: mini washi wall scrolls!

i thought of the idea for these many months ago, but it took time to find out exactly how i wanted to execute my plan and make this beauties as perfect as melissa-ly possible ;).

finally, i am proud to show these off to you!



3 styles will be listed today in my shop, with more to follow in the coming days.

a few details on these:

each wall scroll measures 12" x 9" when hanging, and is suspended by a little ribbon loop. the entire item was hand-sewn by me. the scrolls come lightly rolled inside these gorgeous silken gift boxes (some scrolls come with red, some green) :



a simple set of care instructions and a special gift come with the scrolls, as well. the complete gift comes well-packaged (as always!) and is mailed by priority mail (u.s. only for now - sorry international friends, you know i love you! it's a matter of shipping cost :( ).

3rd post of the day?! i'm on a roll! :p

i was just so proud of my little self that i had to show you this:

it's the basket full of things i'm taking to my consignment meeting tomorrow! it's all lookin' so cute in that little basket :).

and speaking of goody baskets...

behold: the cutest giftwrap you'll ever see that also looks like everybody's least favourite halloween candy! :p

brandon has a little half-sister named hannah (who is the sweetest little girl ever, and is just 3 1/2 years old), whom i just met for the first time at the wedding. normally, little girls don't like me (although little boys love me for some reason!), but hannah really did like me, which is fortunate, as we are now sisters :). she is the only semblance of sibling i will ever have, so i wanted to do something cute for her for halloween, my favourite holiday. at the wedding, she went on and on about how much she likes reeses peanut butter cups, so i got her the miniature ones in halloween foil wrapping, and also some tiny hershey's bars (heehee, hopefully she doesn't eat it all in one go... brandon's dad and stepmom will probably kill me the next time they see me! haha!). i wrapped it all up in this fun jack-o-lantern and candy corn tissue paper i found, and stuck it all in that adorable, glittery, happy giant candy corn gift bag (complete with googly eyes! yes!). and of course i made her a little card to go along with it, telling her 'happy halloween' from her big brother and new big sister. i hope she likes it :).

i never got to be around kids growing up, or even as an adult thusfar, and i can't have any biological children of my own, so it's important to me to spoil my new little sis :).
